Over the course of the past 5 years we have been working with and photographing diamonds under reflector technologies. During that time we have learned and grown with this technology and there is much I have to share on the subject. We are pleased to see labs incorporating this into their research as well; including the role it will be playing in the new AGS cut grading system introduced in June of 2005. This article is written with the hopes that people consulting this technology gain a greater understanding of the gemological information gained from these devices as well as an understanding of their limitations as well. If anything is unclear, please don't hesitate to forward your questions via our Question and Answer section and we will answer and make clarifications to this article as necessary.
