I am writing to thank you for all the help in making my and my fiancée’s engagement story one that we will cherish for the rest of our lives!

She was going over seas to visit her friends David and Joanna and thought that I wasn't going to be able to come. Let me know if I can give testimonial to how excellent your staff and services are. She absolutely LOVES the ring, and was shocked by me being in Paris, the proposal, and the beautiful ring.

In a condensed version of what happened:

I dropped her off at the airport last Monday, took her dad out to lunch to ask for her hand in marriage (he had no idea what was about to happen until she called him from France), picked up my bag from a friend in Charlotte (which I had to drive down earlier in the week so she wouldn't see it in my car), drop my dog off at a kennel, get on the next flight to Newark where my plane got in 25 minutes early and my gate was the next one next to hers. Fortunately she had already boarded and I was able to see her plane taxing away. My flight left Newark 4 hours later and got me into Paris at 11:20 am on Tuesday. I met a nice French college kid who I had been writing to help with my arrangements at 2 pm. He and I had arranged dinner at a romantic restaurant that overlooked the Seine river, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame. David was in on the plan and managed to get the girls to the restaurant by telling them that he wanted to take them out to dinner to celebrate that he had graduated from graduate school and had gotten a job.

David and Joanna left the table after ordering drinks, leaving Alana alone to admire the beautiful view at which time I swooped up behind her and kissed her on the left cheek. I was dressed as a waiter in a suit and had flowers in one hand and a silver platter with chocolate syrup asking "Will you marry me?" An utterly shocked Alana (who had no idea I was even in France) said yes upon which everyone in the restaurant applauded.

It was great to have all the months of planning pay off and after spending a week in Paris we flew home together. Many more fun details were omitted for the sake of brevity but you can get the picture. Now comes the fun of planning a wedding!
