when I decided to an buy engagement ring for my soon-to-be fiancee, i did as i do before any significant purchase; i researched, researched and researched. after reading on-line reviews of several jewelers, i found the good old gold(gog) site and spent the next month studying the information posted. i then took my education to the gog store where jonathan furthered my appreciation for the beauty and value of a diamond. jonathan is unmatched in his passion, knowledge and professionalism, and i left gog confident that I could make a good diamond purchase. while deciding on the particular stone, i visited several well-known jewelry stores in manhattan. what a shock to find:

their cuts were noticeably and consistently inferior to gog's; their sales people were much less knowledgeable and passionate; their prices were 1.5 - 2X gog's prices. i returned to gog and purchased a stunning

happily, the story does not end here. gog both mounted the stone and shipped the ring extremely quickly at an additional cost to them, but at no additional cost to me. gog also later re-sized the ring at no charge. most recently, gog adjusted one of the prongs and thoroughly cleaned the stone; again at no charge.
