REPAIRS & RESIZING
Good Old Gold will only accept repairs or resizing requests presented in person at our New York showroom unless a pre-determined arrangement has been made. Not all items can be repaired or resized without compromising the design of the piece. All items left for repair containing diamonds or gemstones must be inspected and verified before work begins. Good Old Gold reserves the right to refuse any repair or resizing request when the repair or resizing may cause further damage to the piece. Good Old Gold Jewelers shall not be held responsible for:
• Identification or condition of jewelry at time of Good Old Gold receipt
• Altered, treated or enhanced diamonds and colored gemstones
• Miss-marked or unmarked metals
• Worn, fragile or damaged items
• Items left more than 60 days past their completed date
LAYAWAYS
Certain in-stock items purchased from Good Old Gold may be eligible for layaway. To find out if an item is eligible for our layaway program, please contact us for further details.
SPECIAL & CUSTOM-MADE ORDERS
A special order constitutes any jewelry, gemstone or watch ordered or altered at the client’s request. Altered (including resized) jewelry is also considered custom. Custom jewelry is not returnable and no refund or exchange will be made. All of the specific details regarding the item will be discussed and confirmed prior to ordering and all custom and special orders are required to be paid in full before work begins.
PRODUCT COLORS
Good Old Gold has made every effort possible to ensure merchandise colors are displayed as accurately as possible. Good Old Gold cannot guarantee your computer’s monitor or mobile device will accurately display the true colors of an item.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
All merchandise, with the exception of custom and special orders, may be returned or exchanged within fourteen (14) days from the date the item is either picked up in-store, placed on layaway or delivered to the customer. Purchased new and estate items that are modified by a customer’s request, are returnable less the cost of the work performed. For items listed online, if there is a return period specified on an item’s product page, the return period described there will supersede our general 14-day return period.
In order to be returned, merchandise must be in the same condition as when it was when purchased, undamaged, in its complete original packaging, and accompanied by the original receipt. Layaways, custom or special orders, gift certificates and final sale items are not returnable or refundable. Shipping and insurance charges are not refundable. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash. Good Old Gold reserves the right to reject a return and/or deny a refund request if these conditions are not met.
For customers that are not local to us, if you wish to make a return or exchange, providing the returned item meets the conditions detailed above, contact us to request a Return Authorization (RA) number and return instructions. SALES TAX
Good Old Gold is required to collect New York State sales tax for all orders shipped or picked up within in the state of New York. Customers outside of New York State are responsible for abiding by their local tax laws.
DIAMOND RETURNS
All diamonds purchased from Good Old Gold have a 10 or 15 day return period. This return period will begin when either the diamond is ready for pick up or is ready to be delivered. If for some reason, you require us to hold the diamond for you, we will do so, but the return period will begin when the diamond is ready for you as detailed above. If you decide that you would like to return a diamond within the return period, you will receive the full purchase price paid, less the original shipping fee if applicable. Please note that postage fees for items being returned are the customer's responsibility.
All refunds will be issued either by company check or refunded back via the original payment type.
Please allow up to 10 days for us to process your refund.
VIDEO REQUEST POLICY
As a service to our clients, we are happy to shoot a video comparison of the diamonds that you are interested in. If we have an existing video of the diamond on file, we may point you to that video or by depending on the type of the request, we may direct you to a video of a diamond with a similar cut. If we are unable to point you to a video, we can create one for you. If you have checked out with a diamond or a deposit has been made (for US customers) we can create a video for you upon request. If you reside outside of the United States, you must reserve the diamond that you are interested in before we can start the process of making a video.
For customers whom we are searching for diamonds and who have covered our shipping or transportation fees, are afforded this service as part of our Concierge service. For customers that are looking for fancy shaped diamonds, due to the vast differences in appearances in cut from one diamond to another, we will always create a video as part of our service.
Due to the time involved to create videos, we are only able to shoot one video per customer. Because of this factor, please make sure that you include all of the aspects you are looking to highlight so that we can include everything in this one video.
